Yang Kai

Yang Kai graduated from the Affiliated High School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2007 and the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in the UK in 2011. His artistic practice explores contemporary expressions of Asian traditional culture, drawing inspiration from both virtual and real worlds. Working across painting, installation, and site-specific projects, his work has been exhibited at venues including the Hong Kong Fringe Club, the National Art Museum of China, the National Museum of China, the Nanjing Museum, the Ningbo Museum of Art, the Shandong Art Museum, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, the Australian National Maritime Museum, the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan, and the Curitiba Biennial in Brazil.
